Christmas for Three

"Shhh, Quick.  Look~"  Elecman whispered with glee, pointing beneath the Christmas tree, where a tiny robot with golden hair lay asleep, his tiny red thumb in his mouth.  

Quickman smiled, leaning in; he dropped his voice to a whisper.  "He's definitely my son.  Probably went to sleep extra early because he knew Santa Claus was coming."

Elecman nodded.  "He's like a little angelbot!"

"He gets it from my angelbot."  Quickman smirked, holding out a small package to Elecman.  "Open it."

Elecman blinked, taking the present and slowly unwrapping it.  Inside the wrapping paper was a little black velvet box; Elec carefully pried it open.  Within the box was a sterling silver ring with a lightning-bolt-shaped topaz.

"Quick...you shouldn't have!  This was probably so expensi--"  Elecman began.

Quickman shook his head.  "You forget.  We each have brothers who are jewelry experts.  I can get a discount."

"But it probably took so long too!"  Elecman sputtered.

Quickman grinned.  "Crystal can make those in two days, Elec.  They're really much more simple than some of the other things I could have had made.  Like a lightning bolt pendant."

Elecman slipped the ring on, admiring it.  "It sure is beautiful.  Thank you so much..."  He then paused and walked over to one of the recliners, retrieving a gift from behind it.  "This is for you."

Quickman opened the gift, smiling brightly.  He knew, of course, to keep the ribbon intact and try not to tear the wrapping paper or Elec would have a fit; after all, Elecman was obsessive-compulsive about such things.  He opened the box to find a handmade red racing jacket with his name embroidered in gold thread and a boomerang embroidered beneath it.

"...Elec, did you make this for me?"  Quick sputtered.

Elecman nodded.  "I learned to sew just to do that.  I worked my butt off to make that for you, incidentally."

Quick leaned in, whispering to Elecman.  "You do realize we're beneath the mistletoe, right?  Aw, but neither of us is dressed like Santa."

"Yet."  Elecman smirked.  He then walked into another room to put on a santa outfit.

He returned quickly, grinning at how easy it had been to disguise himself.  Quickman chuckled, crooking his hand in front of his face.  He then grabbed Elecman roughly about the shoulders, leaned in, and pressed his lips against Elecman's lips.

At that moment, Lightning cracked a little green eye open.  "Papa, why are you kissing Santa?"

Quickman grinned.  "Well, well.  Looks like the jig is up.  Doncha tell 'Daddy' that I was kissin' Santa, okay?"

Lightning rubbed his eye, murmuring.  "Okay Papa.  But only if you tell Santa I want...I want...I want a toy Sonic Formula."

Quickman nodded and then pretended to whisper in Elecman's ear.  He then scooped Lightning up and carried the young robo-child to bed and tucked him in.  In the meantime, Elec placed gifts under the tree.  Once he finished, he took the fake beard and hat off, then collapsed into the recliner he'd had Quickman's racing jacket behind.

"Merry Christmas to all, and too all a good night."  He murmured, nodding off in the recliner.

Quickman returned, picking up a blanket and draping it over Elecman.  "Good night, Elec."

He then flopped into the other recliner, pulling his own blanket up around himself and decided to doze off for his "long winter's nap".  After all, Christmas only came but once a year.
