The stream looked rather peaceful as Flashman, who was carrying a picnic basket, walked along with Rock, each of the two carrying a fishing pole.  Flash smiled down at Rock; this seemed like a nice idea for a date, just sitting down by the river and fishing together, sharing an E-Tank and a nice lunch that Flash had made.  He was glad he'd agreed to it.

The two Robot Masters sat down at the water's edge, dangling their legs over into the water and letting their feet be cooled by the cool trickling water of the river.  Flash lay the basket and the E-Tank between he and Rock.

"Shall we cast into the water?"  He smiled, tilting his head.

Rock nodded.  "Of course!"

------------

Beneath the waters of the river, atop the rocks of the river-bottom, Bubbleman lay on his side, gazing to Splashwoman, who lay on her back, her arms behind her head.

"What do you think they're doing on the surface?"  She suddenly questioned as she saw two sets of blue feet dipped themselves beneath the water.

Bubbleman chuckled.  "Might be having a nice picnic by the river.  Or they could be--"

Suddenly, two hooks plopped beneath the water's surface.

"...fishing."  He finished.

"Well so much for us just grabbing lunch with our bare hands, huh, my bubbly love?"  Splash frowned.

Bubble gave a grin; while Splashwoman had been lamenting the thought of no fish, he had snagged a couple of fish with his bare hands.

"You were saying, darling?"  He teased.

"...I stand corrected."  She giggled.

"Shall I cook these?"  Bubble suggested.

"We can't light a fire under water silly."  Splash giggled.

"Then shall we surface?"  He grinned.

------------

Roll hummed, spreading a blanket down at the water's edge.  She then placed a picnic basket atop it, followed by Iceman placing a cooler down.  Icy blue eyes glanced to sweet blue eyes.

"It's just perfect.  A cool spot on a hot day, and someone I've warmed up to."  Iceman smiled.

Roll giggled.  "And we've got all sorts of food that I made."

Iceman nodded.  "Plus seasalt ice cream and snow cones with all the different flavors of syrup so we can mix and match."

"I'm still surprised you were able to get them!  You're so sweet, Icey!"  Roll gleed.

"Anything for my Sweet-Roll."  Iceman grinned.

-------------

"And we're coming upon it now."  Gyroman smirked.  He could see the river below now, and extended his feet down to the ground.

Tornadoman slowed the helicopters on his arm so that he could descend, followed by Gyroman slowing the helicopter on his back so he could lower himself down alongside his boyfriend.  He landed softly on the grass of the shore; Tornado was a little less graceful, tumbling once he hit the ground, only to be caught by Gyro's careful, loving hands.

"If I didn't know better, I'd say you're doing that just so you can get me to hold you."  Gyro frowned.

Tornado laughed faintly.  "And if I am?"

"You could always just say 'hold me'."  Gyro rolled his eyes.

Tornado pouted.  "But that wouldn't be any fun.  Didja remember to bring the apples?"

Gyro held up a bag.  "And all the other food we packed.  Home-made gyros...those bento boxes that you made for us...um...the apples...what else did we have?  An E-Tank...oh!  And the silly long red licorice whip with the marshmallow in the middle that I still don't understand why you made."

"Let's dig in!"  Tornado grinned eagerly.

-----------

"I-I really can't get wet.  You know that."  Elecman murmured.

Quickman nodded.  "I know.  We're not taking a dip in the river, though.  There's this nice grassy spot that's perfect for just lying there and watching the clouds.  Taking it--dare I say it?--slowly."

Elecman chuckled.  "You?  Take things slow?"

"Yes."  Quick frowned.

Elec pouted.  "Oh, come on.  I was joking!  So it's okay for you to joke, but the moment I joke it's wrong?  I call hypocrisy!"

Quick tugged him close.  "It's so hard to tell when you're joking."

"I-I see."  Elec slumped.  Bluegreen eyes glanced down to his hands, then up to Quick apologetically.

"Oh, smile."  Quick chuckled.  "Don't feel so bad.  You're just more serious than other Robot Masters.  And that's what I like about you."

"I thought it was because I'm cute~."  Elecman grinned.

Quick smirked.  "That too."

They finally arrived at the grassy knoll near the river and lay down, side-by-side, Quick's arm looked around Elec's shoulder.  Elec had his arms wrapped gently around Quick, smiling dreamily as he glanced up toward the clouds.

"So, what do you see in that one."  Quick pointed to a cloud.

Elec smiled.  "A couple dancing on the blue carpets of a palace.

----------------

Geminiman removed his upper armor and helmet, shaking out his silvery strands of artificial hair.  The clone beside him did the same, then flipped a few silver bangs.  Geminiman stood up, grinning.

"Shall we dive in?"  He purred.

The clone nodded.  He and Geminiman then dove into the river at the same time, resurfacing identically, gripping one another's hands.

"Beautiful as ever, baby."  Geminiman trilled.

--------------

A blue-and-green hot-rod with a woman atop it drove up toward the river.  Plum hopped down from the "hot-rod", giggling.  The "hot-rod" suddenly transformed back into a more humanoid-robot form; Turboman then stretched out his arms, then looped one around Plum.

"Good day for people-watching...or bot-watching, isn't it?"  He gave a short chuckle.

Plum giggled.  "Yep.  Look at that couple there that's kissing while in the water.  Aren't they lovely?"

"...Looks like Gemini and a clone to me."  Turboman commented.  "Egotist."

"Hahahaha!  You're right. Lookin' at it, that is those two!"  Plum guffawed.

Turbo then pointed to the grassy knoll.  "Looks like there's a couple of fellas there watching clouds."

"One of them looks like Quickman to me..."  Plum commented.

"Him slow down?  You're kiddin' me."  Turbo laughed.

"He's got his boyfriend with him too." Plum giggled with glee.

Turbo pulled out a pair of binoculars.  "You see that couple over there cuddling?  The ones in green?"

From the distance, Plum glanced.  "Isn't one of them your brother Gyroman...?  Don't really know the other..."

"...Tornadoman, I think."  Turbo tilted his head.

"...They're so cute together."  Plum gleed.

Turbo panned his binoculars toward the couple by the water's edge with a picnic.  "Awww...these two are plum adorable, Plummy~."

"Really?!"  Plum snatched the binoculars.  "Why, that's Roll and Iceman!  And they're having...a picnic, awwww!"  She suddenly darted the binoculars toward a small fire on the water's edge, and blinked.  "Well, who are those two burning fish?"

"...I can't tell.  Probably Bubbleman and Splashwoman since they aren't completely leaving the water."  Turboman replied.

"And I'm betting that those two fishing might be Flashman and Rockman, right?  I mean...they're the only two I know that wear blue like that."  Plum grinned.  "They're the cutest of all.  Such a pure...simple love."

"You got that right, baby."

---------------

"Heh, I've seen a ton of people here, but you're the most beautiful, baby."  Geminiman purred, leaning in to kiss this clone.

The clone drew back for a moment, giving a sly, fake-shy look before leaning in to the kiss.

Geminiman slipped his tongue inside the mouth of the clone, purring.  He brought his free hand up through the silvery strands of his clone's hair.  He pressed himself up against his clone with an erotic grind.  The clone froze up before being allowed to part from the kiss to gasp with surprise.

"Shall we take this beneath the water?"  He purred.  "It's...more private."

----------------

"That one looks like the Sonic Formula."  Elecman purred.

Quickman snickered.  "I can tell you're thinking with what's in your pants there."

"Oh come on!  It was just what I could see."

"Y'know what I see?"

"What?"

"My boomerang and your mask."

"Quick!"  Elec gasped, then turned his face away.  "What are you suggesting?"

"...Maybe if we can get into one of the labs together, and get the proper parts together..."

"...But we'd have to program too..."

"You could totally copy the Robot Master programming and edit some of the code for a child-bot..."

Elec slipped his arms off Quick and rolled over.  "I-I..."  He curled up.  "It's nothing.  Just that I think it'd be too much responsibility."

"It doesn't have to be immediately.  Just one day, you know?"  Quick touched his shoulder.

"...I...No.  It's not important."  Elec muttered, pulling himself off the grassy knoll.

"Wait..."

Quick sat up on the knoll, crossing his arms in his lap, his green eyes darting down.  He hoped Elec would understand.  Nay.  He prayed Elec would understand and come back.

-------------------

Tornadoman discarded the core of his Red Delicious, chuckling.  Gyroman blinked at him before discarding the core of his Granny Smith.  Tornado winked, holding up the licorice whip now.  It was the only thing they had yet to eat.

"Now, you start on one end, I start on the other...and we meet in the middle on the marshmallow, see?"  Tornado gave a silly smile.

Gyro gave a skeptical look.  "And when we meet in the middle we'll fight over the marshmallow?"

"No, silly~.  We kiss."  Tornado smiled.

"Good.  I hate marshmallows."  Gyro rolled his eyes, smiling.

"But you love me~."

"Yeah, yeah.  Let's just do the licorice thing."

The two robots started at each end of the licorice, making their way toward the middle.  As they got closer, Tornado suddenly chomped the marshmallow before opening his mouth to chomp more of the licorice.  Suddenly, he found Gyro's tongue in his mouth and blinked, blushing.  When Gyro pulled his face away, he smirked, winking at Tornado.

"You didn't say I couldn't slip some tongue."  He snickered slyly.

Tornado blinked and blushed.  "No.  No I didn't."

---------------

"Wow!  These snow cones are so delicious, Icey."  Roll giggled, licking at her cone.

"Th-thanks!"  Iceman stammered.  "S-so...has th-th-this been a good first date?"

"I think so."  Roll giggled, kissing Iceman's cheek.

--------------

"You certainly know which ones are great catches..."  Splashwoman commented, nibbling on her fish.

Bubbleman smirked.  "Of course.  I mean...I chose you~."

Splash gave a flustered look, her blue eyes widening.  For a moment, she stayed in that position, blinking a few times, her mermaid-lashes fluttering.  Bubbleman smirked before popping the last of his fish into his mouth and diving down to retrieve something.

When he surfaced, he opened his hand, extending it out to Splashwoman.  "Will you do me the honor of marrying me?"

"Oh-oh my Asimov...R-really? REALLY?!  B-Bubbly-kins...I...YES."  Splash could only sputter, overcome with emotion.

Bubble smiled.  "I wouldn't ask if I didn't mean it.  Just so you know, I planned this.  Even bought the ring for you."

"Oh...my mind can't believe it!  But my heart can!"

"Believe your heart, baby."

---------------------

Flashman took a sip of the E-Tank, eyeing Rock, who looked particularly sad now.  He placed a gentle yellow hand on a cyan shoulder, leaning in with a worried expression toward his younger love.  Rock glanced to him, then glanced sadly at his hook.

"What's gotcha down, Rock?"  Flash frowned.

Rock glanced up to him.  "I'm...just so disappointed, Flashman."

"What for?"

"I haven't caught a single fish."

Flash put down his fishing pole, then wrapped Rock in a gentle hug, patting his back.  He then kissed the younger Robot Master on the forehead and gave him a soft smile.

"Sometimes the fish just don't bite.  I've had it happen lots of times."  Flash smiled sympathetically.

Rock put down his fishing pole and turned around toward their picnic meal.  "I guess I'll feel better after I eat."

"Then shall we eat?"  Flash smiled.  "I mean, I made it for us."

"Yeah!"  Rock smiled brightly.

-------------------

Jealous golden eyes watched from a distance, narrowing.  "I didn't want to be like those worthless lovebirds anyway.  Let's go somewhere else and spend some time, Treble."

A purple robot wolf nodded to its master and followed him as he walked away.
Seven. Count 'em SEVEN OTPs.

Flash/Rock
Quick/Elec
Iceman/Roll
Bubble/Splash
Gyro/Tornado
Gemini/Clone
Turbo/Plum

...Wow. I did not know I could pull that off.

And each of them seem to have a different thing going with their relationships:

Flash and Rock -- that sweet, innocent relationship that's like first love.

Quick and Elec -- a really mature relationship where big decisions are coming up.

Iceman and Roll -- that cutesy first relationship with excessive sweetness.

Bubble and Splash -- The married-couple relationship, pretty much. Even though it's only them getting engaged right now.

Gyro and Tornado -- That odd-couple relationship. Gyro's the serious one, and Tornado's the childish one. They're like total opposites, with the exception that both of them fly.

Gemini and Geminiclone -- ...That really steamy, between-the-sheets relationship. I mean, really. If you didn't catch that, then you read it wrong.

Turbo and Plum -- The rebound relationship. Plum just got with the first guy she could on the rebound, but they're having a heck of a lot of fun. The kind of relationship where she "hasn't found Mr. Right, but is having a hell of a lot of fun with Mr. Wrong."

BONUS: Bass being a jealous dick at the end and storming off with his dog/wolfbot Treble.
